Graduate Counseling - Post Masters School Counseling Certificate
The Post Master's School Counseling Certificate is designed to assist post master's level students to attain their school counseling license. Individuals with an accredited Master of Arts degree with a mjor in School Counseling or a closely related field may enroll in our Post Master's School Counseling Certificate Program.
Interested individuals need:
- At least a 3.0 GPA in their previous graduate work
- A completed application to the Graduate Counseling Department
- A letter stating why they are seeking school licensure
- A letter of reference from a qualified supervisor
- A video of a recent counseling session (upon request)
- An official transcript of master's level classes completed
- An interview with one or more members of the Graduate Counseling Department
Candidates must complete a minimum of twelve credit hours in our Graduate Counseling Department to be considered for this Certificate. Once admitted to the program, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA in their program, and competency must be consistently displayed throughout coursework, practica, and internships.
