Dr. Teare (B.S., Cornerstone University; M.S., Nova Southeastern University; Ph.D., Capella University) is the clinical counseling coordinator and a clinical counselor for the Aldersgate Center, IWU. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Indiana and has been in practice for 30 years; he is also a Certified Critical Incident Debriefer. He is a member of Psi Chi, the American Counseling Association (ACA), and The International Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (IAMFC).
Dr. Teare is qualified to counsel in a number of areas. His areas of interest and specialties are issues related to childhood sexual abuse; sexual addictions recovery; identity development in young adults; and mental health concerns such as stress, depression, trauma, systems interventions, and family resiliency. Budd's teaching interests include family psychology, abnormal psychology, family and child psychopathology, forensic psychology, and family systems counseling and theory. Research interests involve recovery from child abuse and sexual addictions, family resiliency, and critical incident stress and traume.
